Doha
Our flight to Doha was definitely the easier of the two legs of our journey. Gatwick is quite an easy airport and despite arriving very early time passes quickly and we board our 787 Dreamliner with 100s of others. Fortunately the third seat in our section was empty so we were able to stretch and sit back watching from the huge choice of films. The staff were very friendly and have to say Qatar are a great budget long haul airline. The six hours to Doha passed quickly and we departed our plane to an oven. Outside it was midnight and 30 degrees. It felt like a blast furnace. But despite the long wait on the shuttle bus we were soon air conditioned. Inside it was a shopping palace. Everything was shiny, silver, gold, polished. Our ancestors would be impressed. The too hour wait wasn't a wait at all and almost as soon as we freshen up and find our gate, we're boarding for our flight to Windhoek.
