Day 1: Top of the Rock

We finished the day with a trip to the top of the Rockefeller Center just before sunset to catch the last light over Central Park and then the Empire State Building to the south. Crowds were plenty but the views were even more plentiful. We caught the sunset and then the views of downtown Manhattan as the lights came on.

I think day one has been successful even though we missed one stop on the day's itinerary, MOMA, which we'll have to squeeze in another day. Fingers crossed Katarina's feet will recover overnight. I'm just grateful the weather has been kind and the crowds have been very bearable.
