Flam to Myrdal
Between the cruise and our next form of transport we had 2 hours in the little village of Flam. After faffing about with toilets and luggage and a less than helpful tourist office we found a path leading to a nearby waterfall that allowed us to briefly escape the throng of daytrippers (like us) but finding quiet nature trails seems like a difficult business in Norway despite the vast land and tiny population. However we found what we wanted, a view from the bottom of the waterfall, which I didn't take on this phone.
After the cruise it would have taken something special to top those views and the mountain Flam railway certainly had ago as we made the 866 metre ascent up into the mountains in a train designed for the gradient. I think we were suffering beauty fatigue as we kept the cameras rolling with a little less energy, dragging our sore bodies from our seats at every every every view.
