Breathtaking

There's no better expression for when we crossed the town square after our arrival and turned a corner, and saw this. It was totally unexpected. We knew the cathedral was here but to see it so suddenly, on such a scale tucked behind these old medieval houses, was truly breathtaking. I could easily imagine it bringing tears to the eyes of some tourists. Wow! Sadly it was closed for Sunday Mass so we had to move on to return later.
