On to Basel, sort of

We completed a 10 minute walk to this space age railway station that seems quite far removed the the medieval town, but the journey felt like an hour in our feet. It was then a 10 minute tram back to the car park and a two hour drive to a little French town just outside Basel, which is in Switzerland, passing a few small convoys of Citreon 2CVs. Our next hotel was a little unusual. Less hotel as some rich old lady's spare room. It was a beautiful house but a little awkward. She came across as a retired school headmistress and gave us some precise rules to follow. But it was something different. Before bed though we had a little stroll outside to cool off in the dusk but instead just got bitten by mosquitos. The only relief was air conditioning in our room...at last!
