Democracy

This amazing device is a mechanism for choosing representatives when voting, sort of like a random jury selection. It's filled with balls but after that I've forgotten how the mechanism operates. There was so much to read but we rarely leave ourselves time to digest it all completely. So much can be looked up later online. Again it's wonderful to be so close to a device that was actually used in our earliest experiments with democracy.
