Stoa

This building is a complete restoration of one of the Agora buildings on the very same site. It's wonderful to see. This is supposedly exactly as it looked, including the ceiling and doors (see next post). It's rare to see full scale restorations and this gives us a real feel for what it was like. Without all the accoutrements of modern civilisation, 2,400 years ago this must have been true luxury. Still luxury for us.
