Temple of Hephaestus

This building in the far corner of the Agora is 2500 years old and the best preserved building of its type in the whole of Greek antiquity. I suppose being a little out of the way it wasn't a focus of aggression. It was our main target in coming to the Agora. It was stunning. The complexity of the internal design might give an idea of what was lost in the Parthenon. It took a while to stand and stare to take it all in. We are so lucky to still have this.
