Debod
Hopefully our expression says it all. While sitting in the park I found mention in the guidebook of a cable car nearby. Given the landscape that didn't quite make sense. But that doesn't explain our confusion. That arose on route, bitting down on our Cornetto and Callipo. We came across this ancient Egyptian temple, the temple of Debod. It was pulled apart at its origin and rebuilt here. A donation from what I understand. Perhaps they felt the Spanish had too much Christianity. It was certainly well presented and in great condition but a bit like someone had cut out a piece of my femur and fashioned a pretty flute. It might look great but, huh, is it worth getting a sore leg over?
