Courtyard of the Kings

The first time you see scale is this courtyard. The largest of 16 courtyards across the complex. The sun is not unbearable in the low 30s but still we keep to the shadows. I'm also grateful the crowds are very thin. It makes the experience so much more relaxed. If you strip away the facades to the left and right you'll notice it just looks like a church. And so it was.
