Palace San Martin

It was a fairly short walk from the metro to our hotel in the blistering heat. But, to be honest, after years of summer heat in south and eastern Europe, I'm not bothered anymore. At least for these brief visits. The hotel look spectacular from outside and on entering but the rooms are more traditional and dated. However, our room was much bigger than in Portugal so I'm grateful for that. No need to move this time. The biggest downside however was their Wi-Fi. It's crap. So I'm writing this on mobile data with lower res photos. Shame on you hotel. We had trouble at first connecting at all until the reception staff helped us out, although with little customer service. Nevertheless it failed again by the time I got to writing the blog. The next few days might be a struggle keeping up if my mobile data runs out.
