Cats and dogs

We seemed to walk the street for hours. Actually we did. But it was nice just to soak up the atmosphere. Almost everyone here seems to be a tourist and so everything is geared that way an it's touristy friendly. The atmosphere is a bit like London's South Bank, except with mountains, the sea and a Roman Palace. I bet our retired captain, Niklas, is enjoying his life here. But like everywhere else in Dalmatia cats are proudly holding their own despite the throngs of tourists pushing past. These two, seemingly mother and child were inseparable. But Split doesn't just have cats. Their are dogs also everywhere and of every variety, all handsomely groomed. These aren't wild dogs but leashed to their proud owners -  we even saw one small one with hair beads. But I didn't take any photos of dogs, that seemed to bit intrusive.
