£1.50 pizza

We finished off on the harbour after popping into the palace where we got ourselves some takeaway (a huge toasted sandwich for me and a small pizza for Katarina). When I paid up it only dawned on me as I left that it had cost a total of £2.60. I was shocked. This isn't the third world. How can this be? I felt slightly ashamed. But they were both fantastic. We then treated ourselves to some traditional Croatian doughnuts and deep fried peanuts in the harbour where we sat among tourists and locals enjoying the summer evening. It was a short walk back to our apartment where we finally relieved our tired feet and I removed the eight dressings from Katarina's legs.
