Modern day ruins

The scars of war are visible everywhere. Almost every other building here still bears scars in the form of bullet holes or torn plasterwork and occasionally a few are total wrecks that remain as painful symbols of the torture inflicted on these people. You can't help feel enormous empathy with these people given their history and yet their very welcoming demeanor.
