Cave of hyenas?

We're climbing out this peak looking for caves. Every so often someone spots an opening in the rocks and we scramble over the huge stones to peer inside. Although not too far, for fear of snakes. But we don't find any hyena poo or bones or anything to signify a hyena has been here recently. It seems like these hyenas either don't want to be found or just ain't here. In fact Georgie already suspects they might have moved on.
