Moonset
Getting out here early might have caught the cold and wind but it also gives us an opportunity to catch the moon against the clearest of blue skies. It moves at quite a pace so I have my long lens out at all times not to miss an opportunity.
As it drops behind the mountains I move around as much as I can trying to get the moon rolling along the rocky horizon. I've only got a minute or two before it's dropped too far. I don't care if the others are already a few hunded metres away.
Every day is a surprise and despite a landscape that, superficially, can seem monotonous, it only takes a few moments to focus in any direction and discover a composition you haven't yet seen. And one of my favourites is when the moon bid farewell to the tree.
