The sheltering tree

The last of our tree diversions is this tree sheltering behind a rock. There are still leaves present so this is no dead tree, despite appearances. With the dry wind either hot or cold, year in, year out, I suppose the flora has to try all it can to survive. A rock will do just as well. But maybe the rock traps below it a source of moisture. Who knows.
