Work and play
After lunch the odd jobs continue. We do some more wire braiding, completing the coils that were there before we started. We feed the mongoose. There's more camera trap photos and more food bags to prepare for the horses. There's always something to do. I even make myself useful and chop down some huge branches from a tree they want to remove, giving myself a series of blisters and probably knackering my arm. Probably the first time I've ever done that with an axe.
Katarina also got some time with Bella, our canine friend on site. She's a ferocious playmate and doesn't appreciate the limits of human muscular tissue. But when she's excited, jumping and her tail wagging, she's just a 40kg puppy.
