Counting game

Finally we make our way to within speck-spotting distance of the game. Maybe a zebra or two. Very little. But we do this because the real work is to compare horseback game counting with the vehicle. Does the lack of noisy metal fuel-guzzling compensate for the distance. Not by my measure, but we didn't care too much about the science of it. Well I didn't. Katarina has enough confidence on Pumba (and zoology) to maybe take in the more abstract meaning to it all.

Eventually, with the mountains about 700m away we turn and head back. It's no easier keeping Kitara focused but I survive without falling off. We took with us a fifth horse (there were only four of us riding). The fifth horse was roaming free and just following. Occasionally this horse would run and at one point Kitara, perhaps easily forgetting there is a human who thinks he's in control, suddenly bolted. It was a religious experience to remain on the horse. There's no other explanation.
