Sunset

The sun is once again majestic as it drifts toward the horizon and the shadows of the ripples in the sand sharpen into view. It's so picturesque it becomes almost unreal, like a high definition photo hanging in the sky. It's a view that is so familiar from books or social media that when you see it for real it's hard not see it on those terms.

The cheetahs don't stay for long. They'd been hoping for some food but with nothing forthcoming they sit only for a few minutes and then disappear behind the hill and leave us alone.
