Killer mongoose
Breakfast over we begin the drive out to our next hike. The territory owned at this location is vast so although the destination is still within their borders, it's a drive of over half an hour along sandy paths with yet another opportunity to gaze out at the terrain and occasionally spot an animal.
Our first stop is by a huge tree that is home to a family of mongooses. We stop at a distance away because Karl is worried, from experience, that they could invade the car and pull apart the engine. Georgie heads out alone and once she's dropped off the food (I assume) she's runs back to the car. These certainly aren't the tame mongoose we have back at the camp.
