Camera trap photos

With the game count over we have a couple of hours spare before supper to make ourselves useful some more. This time we get to work with the results of camera traps. The team here has a pile of memory cards collected from camera traps and if you're unlucky you can have maybe 3000 photos of gently swaying grass or baboons playing by the water. Each and every photo must be carefully categorised and placed into folders named after the animals present. It's painstaking work and if some baboons have spent an hour playing in the water or zebra are feeling particularly thirsty, or worse still, they take it in turns (which is what we get) it takes a long time to drag and drop. It doesn't help that the laptops are ancient. But we are at least rewarded with a couple of photos of a leopard sipping from the watering hole.
