Day 4 Monday: Hike 2 (Camera Traps)

Doug seemed quite pleased with our GPS tracking yesterday so he's sending us back to the same place. He was impressed we'd found leapard tracks, which is the main focus of the conservation at this site, so he wants us to set up a few camera traps. It feels like quite a responsibility so soon and we are given only about 5 minutes training at 8am. The sun is only just coming up and waking in the cold and dark here is no joy. We rush in our tents to dress and forgo a proper wash until later in the day. This map is a mixture of yesterday's trek (those numbered GPS points) and a rough trace in red of today's plan.
