Day 6 Wednesday: Sossusvlei

Apologies in advance because today we visit one of the most beautiful places on Earth, so there's going to be a lot of photos. It's just too hard choosing between them. Eventually I might have more time to work on them properly so they've only received basic enhancements to push up contrast. 

Our day started very early and I was out of my bed into the cold and dark well before 6am. We were going to be out all day so I needed to make sure I had everything prepared. Everyone, including Doug who was driving, was virtually silent as we climbed into the car in the dark. After watching yesterday's sunset it seemed appropriate that today we are back in the car watching it return from the horizon.
