Rhino prints

While driving I see Doug and Caroline point at the road and then quickly pull over. From the car they've noticed some tracks and we lean out to see the huge prints of Rhinos. The story is that two rhinos have escaped from the local conservation park (the other side of those Naukluft mountains). They are trying to track them down to then find a way to return them. The danger is twofold. Firstly, the presence of rhino outside the park could draw in poachers. That is a very real danger. The danger for the farmer is that if a rhino is shot on his premises, he is likely to be blamed and could be imprisoned. It's something they take very seriously. But it just goes to show how vast these farms are that two rhino are roaming somewhere but not easily seen. And this is despite the fact it is hardly overgrown with foliage.
