Alexander Nevsky cathedral

In this photo, zoomed in as far as my compact camera would go, is a tiny view of the huge domes of the Alexander Nevsky cathedral. That huge edifice from here is just a speck. And this is just a small section of the whole view. The city is quite vast, with a population of 1.2 million all visible from this one point. Which means much of Sofia has a clear view of this and these mountains. Vitosha is an ever present feature of Sofia.
