Alexander Nevsky cathedral

And here is the crowning glory of the orthodox church in Sofia, the church of St Alexander Nevsky. This saint was actually a huge Russian hero but he has proud of place here is Sofia. It was hard to photograph until I found a good angle off to one side. Inside I also quickly took a photo before being ushered out by a rather upset official. This was the end of our official unofficial tour and my feet were sore. Katarina was exhausted and barely able to walk. The temperature wasn't on severe but it did vary between very warm and hot. Fortunately we did get plenty of shade.
