Mountains

After the relatively flat terrain we passed through from Budapest to Novi Sad and then Belgrade, as we neared Bulgaria that changed distinctly and at one point we drive through quite a stunning gorge. The overhanging cliffs protruded above our coach and you wonder how it all stays up. Serbia had carved a passage through this terrain no matter what was in the way. We were grateful for that as the route was surprisingly straight.
