Castle Sinaia
OK it wasn't a castle, but it felt a little like it. We were quickly through reception and into our room/apartment. I'd booked out the top level, which is the tower at the top with a 360 view of the mountains and forests around. I'm not sure what we'd do with a huge dining table but it's always surprising how much space our backpacks can use up as we scatter our mess around, like dogs marking their territory. Like the hotel in Bucharest, this place was stunning, but with one quite serious flaw: no air conditioning. However, it wasn't supposed to be hot here. The taxi driver said it was unusual to get this hot 1000m into the mountains. Lucky us. However, we were able to open the windows and fill the place with draught.
