Bus to Gara du Nord
At the airport we were out in minutes. Disembarking the plane was very fast and then passport checks were so empty you spent more to time choosing which isle than actually passing through. It took a few minutes for our bags to come but nothing excessive. I'd already worked out which bus we needed. There was an express bus, which was slow and another bus which was quicker. Go figure. Directions to the buses were signposted but we had to ask anyway. Better to be sure. Tickets were easy enough and everyone seems to speak enough English. And conveniently, as in Bulgaria, thank you is same as the French merci. On the the bus validating our tickets was very confusing and a French couple tried to help but in the end the driver got out of his cabin and helped the dumb tourists. Apparently we had to push a button first. The bus itself didn't exceed 20mph. Maybe the other bus went faster. The difference here was that this bus had two stops: the airport and Gara du Nord. The other bus had maybe 10 stops. Apart from one severe braking manoeuvre that almost broke my wrist and Katarina's knee it was uneventful and we got off at the station.
